- SEO - search engine optimisation is the process of improving the visibility of a website in search engines like Google.
- ROI – Return on Investment is the ratio of money gained or lost on an investment relative to the amount of money invested. Email Marketing for example has a great ROI.
- CSS – Cascading style sheets is a language used to style the look and formatting of a website.
- HTML – HyperText Markup Language, is the predominant coding language for web pages.
- PHP – Hypertext Preprocessor is a general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed to produce dynamic web pages.
- ISP – Internet service provider is a company that provides access to the Internet – in our case this is Telkom – woohoo (sarcasm).
- DPI – dots per inch is the number of individual dots that can be placed in a line within the span of 1 inch. In other words, 300dpi (used in the printing industry) would be of a higher quality than 72dpi (used in the web industry).
- RGB – Red, green, and blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colours. Computer monitors are calibrated in RGB.
- CMYK – refers to the four inks used in colour printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).
- WYSIWYG – an acronym for what you see is what you get. Pronounced ‘wisiwig’. It’s the visual editor installed into the admin section of your website used to update your website content.
- CDN – content delivery network or content distribution network is a system of computers containing copies of data placed at various nodes of a network.
